Care at Well Bath

For those in the perimenopause and menopause

Written and reviewed by Joe Macnab, Well Bath. Last reviewed .

You know it is not the flu, and you know it is not stress, though it can wear the clothes of both. What is happening in your body is real and it has a name. The register you are in now is not the same as the one you were in five years ago, and the way you meet it may not be the same either.

Well Bath does not treat menopause as a diagnosis to fix. What Well Bath offers is a small set of practitioners whose work supports the physical, hormonal, emotional, and identity-level shifts that this stretch of life carries. Nothing is asked of you that your body cannot do that day. Nothing is sold to you that you do not need.

Sue's Holistic Health Consultation is the strongest first door. Twenty years of naturopathic nutrition and holistic health sit behind it, drawing on food, sleep, movement, and the interconnected systems of the body. Her Ecotherapy sessions, held in the Charlcombe grounds when the weather allows, offer a different register again: the settling that only the natural world provides. Jane's Yoga Therapy is a private, tailored practice for individual symptoms and patterns.

On the studio side, Mirella's Gentle Luna Flow and Lauren's Yin and Restorative are both suited to the body that needs restoration rather than exertion. Heidi's Reiki and Kate's Crystal Bowl Sound Bath support the nervous system through touch and frequency rather than talk. Diane's teaching background includes a body of work specifically for women in this stage of life.
