Getting started
What is Well Bath?
Well Bath is a wellness sanctuary in the Charlcombe valley, ten minutes from central Bath. Weekly yoga, breathwork and meditation classes, one-to-one treatments in three quiet rooms next door to the studio, and monthly workshops and circles. Everything held under one considered roof.
I have never done yoga before. Is Well Bath suitable for beginners?
Yes, completely. Gentle Luna Flow with Mirella on Thursday mornings and Gentle Hatha with Ilona on Friday mornings are both designed for beginners. If you have never stepped on a mat, either of those rooms is the right place to begin. Half price on your first drop-in with the code INTROCLASS.
Is there yoga for men here?
Men are welcome at every class. Around a third of the room on most days is men. Gentle Luna Flow, Gentle Hatha, and Himalayan Hatha are all a good place to start. The Men's Fire Circle is a monthly evening specifically for men to gather around the fire.
What are the opening hours?
Monday to Sunday, 9am to 9pm. Class times sit within that window. Treatments are booked around each practitioner's own schedule.
Where is Well Bath?
Well Bath, Woolley Lane, Charlcombe, Bath BA1 8BA. Ten minutes by car from central Bath. Parking round the back of the building, free. See the how-to-find-us page for full directions from Bath Spa, Bristol, and the M4.

Classes
What types of yoga classes do you offer?
Gentle Luna Flow, Gentle Hatha Yoga, Yin, Yin Restorative, Yoga for Cancer (Olivia), Vinyasa, Himalayan Hatha, Sol Power Yoga, Wake Up and Flow, and Prana Kriya Yoga. Alongside these, Breath and Bhajans and InMotion. The classes page lists every one with duration and rate.
What is Prana Kriya Yoga?
Prana Kriya Yoga is Joe's breathwork-integrated practice. Longer than a standard class at 90 minutes, and priced at £20 drop-in to reflect that. Many people describe it as the practice that stays with them longest through the week. It sits well after you have found your feet with a regular yoga class or two.
What should I wear and bring to my first class?
Comfortable clothes you can move in. Leggings, joggers, a t-shirt or fitted top. Bare feet on the mat. All the equipment is provided — mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets. A water bottle if you like one, and something warm for the rest at the end of a class. Arrive ten minutes early and there will be time to settle.
Do I need to be flexible or fit to start?
No. Flexibility develops through practice, it is not a requirement for beginning. Every teacher offers modifications for every pose. Your first class is yours to move at whatever pace your body brings on the day.
What workshops do you hold?
Monthly Sound Bath with Kate, monthly Kirtan, monthly Reiki and Meditation with Heidi, monthly Resilience Meditation with Tom, monthly Be Balance, and Men's and Women's Fire Circles. The workshops page has the full list with cadence. Sign up for our letters at the bottom of any page for what is coming next.
Bodywork and holistic care
Treatments
What treatments are on offer?
Structural Integration and Quantum Structural Integration with Paul, Sports Massage and Holistic Massage with Diane, Physio and Yoga for Cancer with Olivia, Tui Na with Joe, Swedish Massage with Jan Erik and with Sarjana, Reflexology and Bioresonance with Jan Erik, Reiki with Heidi, Lymphoedema Care with Tim, and Naturopathic Nutrition with Sue. The treatments page lists every one with rate.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?
Two ways in. The care page groups treatments by what your body is asking for — held for pain, held for stress, held after a diagnosis. Or you can book an Introductory Wellness Evaluation with Joe, a one-to-one conversation with no treatment, to be heard and to find the right first door.
How much do treatments cost?
Rates vary by modality and duration. Reiki and Reflexology sit around £60 to £70. Swedish, Tui Na, and Holistic Massage sit around £75 to £100. Structural Integration and Sports Massage begin around £90. Each treatment page carries its own rate.

Booking, prices, cancellation
How do I book a class or a treatment?
Everything books through Acuity. Choose your class, treatment, or workshop from the schedule page and follow the link to the booking system. You can book up to a month ahead. For repeat bookings, download the Acuity app from the App Store or Google Play, add https://WellBath.as.me/ as your business, and it remembers your details.
What are the class prices?
Drop-in £15, Prana Kriya £20. Five-class pass £65 (£13 a class, valid 8 weeks). Ten-class pass £120 (£12 a class, valid 15 weeks). See the class prices page for the full breakdown.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. Half price on your first drop-in class with the code INTROCLASS. £5 off any drop-in for students (code STUDENT) or anyone on a low income (code LOWINCOME). Please bring proof to your first class and have a quiet word with your teacher.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel at least 24 hours before the class or treatment if plans change. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged in full, whether paid drop-in or off a class pass. This helps us hold the room for others.

Parking, foyer, contact
Practical
Is there parking?
Yes. Free parking round the back of the building. Follow the drive round to the rear and park there. From the back car park, take the side passage on the left of the building. It brings you round to the front entrance.
Do you have changing facilities?
Yes. Two unisex toilets, one with a shower. A rack in the foyer for shoes and coats. You are welcome to arrive changed or change here, whichever suits you best.
What happens when I arrive?
There is no receptionist. The foyer welcomes you directly. The Welsh dresser in the middle of the foyer holds mugs, glasses, teas, and a jug of water — help yourself. Take a seat, kick your shoes off, and settle. The teacher or practitioner will be in the room.
Can I hire the space?

Founder and philosophy
About Well Bath
Who founded Well Bath?
Well Bath was founded in 2019 by Paul Fairhurst and Dan Cossins. Joe Macnab joined shortly after and took sole title in 2022. Joe now holds the sanctuary as its steward, working alongside a team of practitioners and teachers who each bring their own lineage to the room.
What is your philosophy?
Life happens for you, not to you. Where you least want to look is often where the greatest reward waits. Considered daily practice over quick fixes. The sanctuary is a place to be met as you are and to find what you need in the moment.
Are your practitioners qualified?
Every practitioner is fully qualified in their modality. Yoga teachers hold recognised certifications; therapists are registered with the relevant professional bodies. Each practitioner page carries their training and lineage.
What makes Well Bath different?
Everything held under one considered roof — yoga, breath, bodywork, meditation, ceremony, song. A small, careful team. The Charlcombe valley setting means the sound outside is usually birdsong. The register throughout is sanctuary rather than studio: unhurried, quiet, held.
