Bioresonance in Bath

The energy body, read and met with precision

You lie on the couch, fully clothed. Small electrodes rest against the skin, and Jan Erik reads what the body is already telling him. Bioresonance is a modality with over a century of research and development behind it, drawing on decades of Swiss and German work on electromagnetic and low-current biological signalling. Jan Erik uses a Vitalfield device — the result of nearly thirty years of ongoing development — to first measure and then meet the body's regulating systems.

Before every session Jan Erik takes a non-invasive Vitalfield measurement. The reading gives specific and often surprising detail about which of the body's systems are asking for support, which toxicities may be present, and where energy is flowing or stuck. That reading, combined with prior conversation and manual examination, shapes a personalised treatment plan for the session itself and a set of dietary and lifestyle recommendations for the days that follow.

The therapeutic phase of the session is quiet. Frequencies specific to your Vitalfield reading are broadcast to the body while you rest fully clothed. Nothing is invasive. Many clients find Bioresonance works well on its own; others combine it with Jan Erik's Swedish massage or reflexology in one longer visit.

Bioresonance is one of very few modalities of its kind offered in the Bath area. Jan Erik is happy to have a short conversation before your first session so you know what to expect and can decide whether it is the right first door for you.

What people bring

Presentations commonly worked with

Bioresonance is a general regulator rather than a treatment for one specific condition. The presentations Jan Erik most often sees people arrive with.

  • Chronic fatigue that has not been fully explained by conventional testing
  • Suspected food intolerances or environmental sensitivities
  • Sleep patterns that have thinned out over months or years
  • Low-grade digestive complaints, bloating, and gut discomfort
  • Recovery from a long viral illness or a course of medication
  • Stress patterns held in the nervous system that talking has not shifted
  • Skin conditions with an underlying inflammatory or intolerance component
  • General curiosity about how the body's energy systems present when measured

Bioresonance is a complementary practice held inside a naturopathic framework, not a diagnostic tool of conventional medicine. It does not replace medical care. Please continue with your GP or specialist for anything you are already being treated for. Jan Erik adheres to the World Council for Health Oath of a Medicus and will steer you honestly if something you describe needs clinical attention first.

What a session is like

From arrival to the last breath in the room

A full first session with Jan Erik runs ninety minutes. This is what happens inside that time.

  1. 01

    Arrival and tea

Come through the front door, tea from the Welsh dresser, settle in the foyer. Jan Erik collects you when the room is ready.

  2. 02

    Intake conversation

Fifteen to twenty minutes on your history, what has brought you today, sleep, food, energy, stress, any conventional medical care running alongside. Nothing is written down that does not need to be.

  3. 03

    The Vitalfield measurement

A non-invasive reading. Jan Erik will explain what the device is doing as it runs. The measurement produces specific detail on the body's regulating systems, on possible toxicities, and on where energy is flowing or stuck.

  4. 04

    Reading the results together

Jan Erik walks you through what the measurement is showing. This is often the most interesting part of a first session — most people have not seen their own body described in this framework before.

  5. 05

    The bespoke frequency phase

You rest fully clothed on the treatment table while frequencies specific to your reading are broadcast to the body. Quiet, unhurried, nothing invasive. Some people fall asleep. That is fine.

  6. 06

    Integration and follow-up notes

A brief conversation about what to notice over the next few days, dietary and lifestyle suggestions where relevant, and a clear sense of whether one more session or a package is the right next step. No pressure to book anything.

Weighing it up

Bioresonance versus other energy-based work at Well Bath

Bioresonance sits in the same broad family as Reiki and sound work but is closer to naturopathic testing than to hands-on healing. Where the differences sit.

Bioresonance Reiki / Sound bath
Framework Electromagnetic and low-current bioregulation, grounded in Swiss and German biophysics research. Traditional Japanese energy channelling (Reiki) or sound frequency (Kate's crystal bowls).
Measurement A specific non-invasive Vitalfield reading before every session, which shapes the therapy. No measurement. Practice is shaped by the practitioner reading the room.
Naturopathic integration Dietary and lifestyle guidance drawn from the reading. Jan Erik holds a naturopathy diploma. No dietary or naturopathic guidance forms part of the session.
Session shape Ninety minutes: measurement, conversation, frequency work, follow-up. Sixty to ninety minutes of continuous held practice.
Combines well with Jan Erik's own Swedish massage or reflexology inside one longer combination visit. Yin or Restorative yoga after, sometimes bodywork.
Best if you Want a reading of what the body is holding, and a session built from that reading. Want to be met by a practitioner in a felt-sense way without the analytical layer.

None of these are alternatives to conventional medical care. Each is a complementary practice. Many people find different sessions serve different weeks.

What the evidence says

Research and clinical literature

Bioresonance is used across Continental Europe by thousands of practitioners and by medical doctors alongside conventional care. The evidence base is uneven and honestly contested. Citations below are chosen for what they honestly claim.

  • Peer-reviewed reviews of bioresonance across multiple clinical applications (allergy, chronic pain, functional gastrointestinal complaints) report variable but sometimes clinically meaningful improvements, with authors consistently calling for larger controlled trials.

Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice · reviews · 2019

  • Bioresonance is used within regulated integrative-medicine practice in Germany and Switzerland, often held alongside conventional care rather than as a substitute for it.

European Journal of Integrative Medicine · 2018

  • The Vitalfield hardware Jan Erik uses is the product of nearly thirty years of continuous Swiss and German development, iterated in ongoing clinical practice. Manufacturer documentation available on request.

Questions people ask

Before you book

Is Bioresonance safe? +
Yes. The Vitalfield device is non-invasive, non-ionising, and low-current. There is no radiation exposure comparable to medical imaging. See the contraindications below.
Do I need to undress? +
No. Sessions are held fully clothed throughout. Wear comfortable, loose layers.
How does the measurement work? +
The Vitalfield device reads your body's electromagnetic field through skin-contact sensors held gently in the hands or applied to specific points. It takes a few minutes. Jan Erik will explain each step as it happens.
Will I feel anything during the session? +
Some people feel a subtle sense of warmth or settling; others feel nothing during the session at all and notice the effect over the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Both are normal. Falling asleep on the table happens often.
How many sessions do I need? +
For general reset or wellness, one to three sessions is a common starting point. For a chronic pattern the seven-session package is often more useful — the body typically needs repeated exposure to hold a change. Jan Erik will guide honestly rather than up-sell.
What does the £25 measurement-only session include? +
Thirty minutes: the Vitalfield reading and a brief conversation about what it is showing. No therapeutic frequency phase. Useful as a low-commitment first look — some people book this first and decide whether to return for a full session.
Are there any contraindications? +
Bioresonance should not be used by anyone with a fitted pacemaker or other implanted electronic medical device. If you are pregnant, in the first trimester, or being treated for any acute condition, speak with Jan Erik before booking.
Do you make medical claims? +
No. Bioresonance is a complementary practice, not a replacement for medical care. Jan Erik adheres to the WCH Oath of a Medicus, which explicitly holds this line. If you describe something that needs clinical attention, he will tell you so.
Can I combine it with a massage or reflexology? +
Yes. The two-hour combination session (£100) is Vitalfield measurement plus bespoke massage or reflexology plus the frequency phase, all in one visit. Popular with people who like the reading and want a body treatment inside the same appointment.
