Practitioner at Well Bath
Bioresonance · Swedish Massage · Reflexology · Naturopathy
Three modalities, one of which he is the only practitioner offering in the Bath area.
Jan Erik joined Well Bath in 2026 with a rare combination of modalities: Swedish Massage, Reflexology, and Bioresonance. The last of these is the least known and the most distinctive — high-precision electronic instruments working in the field of electromagnetics, microcurrent electrics and magnetic radiation, applied gently to the body. He is the only practitioner offering Bioresonance in the Bath area.
Jan Erik trained in Sweden and is certified as Masseur and Massage Therapist. He practises Deep Tissue Massage as well as Swedish, working therapeutically with pressure-point release and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) — a technique that uses reflexes and neurological memory to assist muscular relaxation. In 2020 he finalised his qualification as a Reflexology Practitioner. Since November 2022 he has added Bioresonance to his practice.
His Swedish Massage is the traditional Scandinavian technique — long, flowing strokes that work with the muscle rather than against it. Slower than sports massage, more restorative than deep tissue. His Reflexology is precise, feet-based, and often chosen by clients who find full-body work too much. Bioresonance sits alongside both as an analytical and therapeutic tool, used either on its own or in combination with the hands-on work.
Jan Erik's register is quiet and considered. He has a way of naming what he is finding in the tissue that leaves people feeling read rather than worked on. He is tax-registered and liability-insured, works with natural products of the highest available quality, and is committed to a sensitive, caring approach that sits alongside orthodox medicine rather than replacing it.
Alongside his work at Well Bath, Jan Erik holds a broader practice in the region. He sees clients at the Bath Healthcare Clinic on Bear Flat, at The Bath Practice in central Bath, and in Glastonbury (The Roman Way, BA6 8AD) on Mondays and Fridays. His own site is hillsidemassage.uk.
Why Jan Erik's work stands out in Bath
The technology of therapeutic frequency devices has a hundred-year history. Bioresonance is the result of more than a century of research and development into electromagnetic and low-current biological signalling, a body of work a growing number of therapists across Europe now incorporate into clinical practice.
The Vitalfield hardware Jan Erik uses is the product of nearly thirty years of continuous development in Switzerland and Germany. It covers a wider range of amplitudes than most other bioresonance devices, and the software behind it is unusually mature. Jan Erik's work sees the device as an aid, supporting individuals on their own healing journey — a role once occupied, as he puts it, by the community shaman.
He is one of the only practitioners offering this modality in the Bath area. If you are curious, he is happy to have a short conversation before your first session so you know what to expect.
Training and lineage
Jan Erik holds his practice inside the World Council for Health Oath of a Medicus. His independent practice is at biosonics.org and his sessions at Well Bath are booked through the standard Well Bath Acuity flow.
