Yoga Teacher Training with Diane in Bath

The Academy for Yoga Training

Diane's Academy for Yoga Training runs from Well Bath and online. Accredited, considered, and generous — the same generosity that shows up in her weekly classes. Diane Lee is founder and senior teacher of the Academy for Yoga Training. The Academy delivers accredited yoga teacher training courses in Bath and online, with Diane at the helm of a small, considered team. She has been teaching for over twenty years, trained at an ashram in Colorado, walked the Ashtanga path, and now brings a broad, integrative approach shaped by a deep spiritual journey of her own.

The 200-hour Hatha course is the flagship — Yoga Alliance Professionals accredited, held online or in person, an intensive foundational training that qualifies you to teach. Alongside the flagship, the Academy runs shorter specialist courses: a 40-hour Restorative Yoga training over three days, a 40-hour Yin Yoga training over three days, a one-day Yoga for Menopause CPD workshop for teachers working with perimenopausal, menopausal and post-menopausal women, and a three-day Art of Adjustments course for teachers wanting to deepen their hands-on teaching craft.

Every course is small-group, careful, and led by teachers with decades of experience between them. The register is honest and warm rather than fitness-y. If you have wondered about training as a yoga teacher, or are already teaching and want a specialist add-on, this is a considered doorway into that arc.

A note from Well Bath: when you book with the Academy, mention Well Bath in your enquiry and you will receive a welcome at the sanctuary. Three free classes if you take the 200-hour Hatha flagship. One free class if you take the 40-hour Yin, 40-hour Restorative, or three-day Art of Adjustments. The one-day Yoga for Menopause CPD is a shorter format and sits outside this welcome. Enquiries about the Academy go direct to Diane rather than through Well Bath's booking system.

Questions people ask

Before you book

Is the 200-hour course accredited? +
Yes. The 200-hour Hatha course is accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals. On completion you are qualified to teach and to register as a yoga teacher.
Do I need experience to start the 200-hour? +
A regular yoga practice is expected — typically at least a year or two of consistent classes. The application conversation covers where you are in your practice and what preparation the Academy recommends.
Do the 40-hour courses count as CPD? +
Yes. The 40-hour Restorative, 40-hour Yin, one-day Yoga for Menopause, and three-day Art of Adjustments are all recognised CPD for qualified teachers. They can also be taken as personal deepening if you are not teaching.
How does the Well Bath welcome work? +
Mention Well Bath when you enquire with Diane. Once your place is confirmed she will let Well Bath know, and you will receive: three free classes if you book the 200-hour Hatha flagship; one free class if you book the 40-hour Yin, 40-hour Restorative, or three-day Art of Adjustments. The one-day Yoga for Menopause CPD is a shorter format and sits outside this welcome.
How do I book or ask questions? +
Enquiries about the Academy for Yoga Training go direct to Diane rather than through Well Bath's booking system. Call Diane on 07946 663 464 or visit academyforyogatraining.com to explore the courses in detail.
